Type 8202 - pH or oxidation-reduction potential (ORP) transmitter, ELEMENT design
Type Description
The Type 8202 transmitter is a compact device for measuring the pH value in clean, contaminated, sulphide- or protein-containing liquids, or for measuring the oxidation-reduction potential (ORP) in clean, contaminated, sulphide- or protein-containing liquids and liquids with low conductivity. The design of the measuring device simplifies Bürkert installation and maintenance work. The Type 8202 device is available in two variants. The first, known as the ELEMENT Standard, is available either with three configurable outputs (two digital outputs and one analogue output) or with four configurable outputs (two digital outputs and two analogue outputs) and can be equipped with a display. The display is only required for commissioning, configuration (e.g. selection of pH/ORP measurement, measuring range, units, calibration, limit values) and process value indication. The second variant, known as the ELEMENT Neutrino, is a 2-wire device without a display, equipped either with a 4...20 mA current output or with a digital communication mode via IO-Link or büS (Bürkert system bus based on CANopen). The Type 8202 device converts the measuring signal and calculates the output signals, which are provided in the ELEMENT standard device via one or two M12 plug connections or, in the ELEMENT Neutrino variant, via an M12 plug-in connection or on a terminal strip via a cable gland. In the ELEMENT standard device, the device displays different values in different measuring units (if a touchscreen is installed).

- Use of 120 mm standard PG 13.5 pH/ORP probes with S8 connection. (Type 8203 recommended)
- Simple one- or two-point calibration can be carried out directly on the device; simulation of process values and diagnostic functions
