Optimised cell culture, cleaning and filling processes for the production of biofertilisers
Mass flow measurement/control expertise and predictive maintenance supported by a global network – the collaboration with GPC Bio
About GPC BIO
GPC BIO was founded in 2008 in La Rochelle and specialises in all types of laboratory-based research and development projects or projects in the field of biotechnological production.
Global Process Concept specialises in the development of control systems for benchtop bioreactors designed for research and industrial use. The company also offers customised systems for cleaning, distribution, filtration or analysis, e.g. CIP stations, sterile distribution systems, filtration systems, gas analysers, T-BIO, etc. The company is also expanding its activities in Asia and the North American market.
Cooperation with Bürkert
GPC BIO has been working with Bürkert France since being founded, and it has proven to be a successful partnership based on sustainability and trust. To meet the needs of an American biofertiliser manufacturer based in the Boston area, whose production is destined for the entire US market, Global Process Concept has developed a plant for the development of cell culture processes (upstream process), purification (downstream process) and subsequent filling.
Made from micro-organisms, mainly fungi and bacteria, the biofertiliser lives in symbiosis with the plants to nourish them and improve the quality of the soil, creating the perfect environment for plant growth.
“With their extensive expertise in mass flow measurement and closed-loop control, their global offering and their positioning, Bürkert France was perfectly placed as a partner to help us fulfil all requirements within a very short time to market. In a collaborative approach, Bürkert USA has also taken over the entire field of predictive maintenance”
