Aseptic filling and packaging of oral vaccinations in single doses

3D Process and Bürkert France have worked together to develop a system for filling and packaging an oral vaccine for Recipharm, which is used to combat a serious paediatric infectious disease.

COOPERATION WITH 3D PROCESS

3D Process was founded in 2013. Based in Isère, the company specialises in designing and manufacturing process equipment for various industrial applications such as purification, water treatment, formulation, filtration, steam and condensates, etc., in accordance with the requirements of the pharmaceutical, cosmetics and food industries

When developing a solution for Recipharm (Haut-Rhin), a company specialising in the filling of single-dose ophthalmic products, 3D Process partnered with Bürkert France to meet their specific requirements. With the support of Bürkert France, the company successfully developed a system for the aseptic filling and packaging of an oral vaccine in single doses, opening the door to new markets.

3D Process worked in collaboration with Bürkert France on this project to develop a multifunctional and automated system that enables the sterile filling of paediatric vaccines.

This system enables the transfer of the product. In addition, decontamination, clean-in-place (CIP) and finally sterilisation (SIP) of the entire system are guaranteed.

“As we were already used to cooperating with Bürkert France, we knew that we could trust their expertise and reliability. We were able to work with them to meet the specific requirements of the plant in order to ensure consecutive filling, decontamination, cleaning and sterilisation processes. As part of the project, we modelled more than 90% of the pipelines and carried out a detailed study to overcome the functional and atypical complexity of such a system. We always felt listened to and supported during the collaboration, even on sensitive issues such as the integration of new technologies, specificity of the delivery items, etc., and were able to meet all requirements for the overall solution.”
