Efficient and reliable cleaning of cuvettes

How can you clean your cuvettes residue-free, thereby ensuring effective and reliable use? With a system solution for pressure-time dosing, block solutions or components with exactly the same switching behavior, we offer solutions for the production of laboratory equipment.

Your benefits

  • Cleaning cuvettes quickly and reliably
  • Economical use of reagents and cleaning liquids
  • Long service life thanks to chemically resistant materials

Reliability is the top priority when cleaning cuvettes

Every day, numerous samples, on whose integrity human lives depend, are analysed in laboratories. Error-free measurement results are therefore essential. Be it in the field of haematology, clinical chemistry or immunology: After each test, the cuvettes used need to be cleaned residue-free. However, the following also applies: The faster you clean, the more analyses can be done in an hour.

Achieving error-free and efficient test results with Bürkert

The Bürkert solution allows you to clean cuvettes residue-free and much faster than with conventional solutions. Our valves are designed to enable high flow rates and to switch with exceptional precision. This helps to speed up your cleaning process significantly. The result: The Bürkert solution contributes to error-free and efficient test results when analysing blood, serum and urine. In line with the respective requirements, we develop tailored system solutions that make your analysis process more efficient overall.

This is how the cuvette washing station works

The speed of the cleaning cycle plays a significant role in the efficiency of the analysis device.

The faster the up to 15 rinsing processes are executed, the faster you can analyse the next sample.

Step 2
The cuvette is rinsed with up to 15 different cleaning steps, for example using deionised water, cleaning agents, alkali solutions, acidic solutions or bleaches.
Step 1
The analysed solution is removed from the cuvette using vacuum and disposed of.

Why high-precision switching operations are so important

Caution: Valve switching tolerances challenge the accuracy of your test results. In addition, more cleaning agents are needed with inaccurate processes.

Bürkert valves switch ultra-precisely:

  • Allowing you to control your fluid consumption precisely
  • Allowing you to use media sparingly and work more efficiently

Our expertise: Cleaning cuvettes more efficiently

We always focus on your success

We optimise our components for you, thereby allowing you to clean cuvettes more efficiently and to save on cleaning solutions.

Efficient use of cleaning agents and reagents

When cleaning cuvettes, the efficient use of cleaning agents and reagents is essential. The precious cleaning solution needs to be used as much as necessary but as sparingly as possible. It is therefore important to plan things with cost-efficiency in mind – starting with the plant design and internal volumes.

Conventional solution: You need to clean not only every needle and valve but also the associated hoses. Let us assume that you use 3 mm hoses with a length of 50 cm per valve. In the example shown, you need to clean an internal volume of 17.6 ml.

Bürkert system solution: With the 5-fold Bürkert standard block solution for Type 0127, you only need to clean a total volume of 5.2 ml. The significantly reduced internal volume helps to save cleaning agents. In addition, the risk of leakage is also minimised – thanks to fewer hoses and fittings.
