Bürkert Valve Islands
Bürkert valve islands have been designed to offer a modular solution to complex control problems. Our innovative range of valve manifolds allow you to integrate multiple high-performance valves and remote electronic I/O and fieldbus modules into one compact, and extremely flexible, process actuation and control system.
Bürkert Valve Islands – Type 8640
With its modular construction and combination of pneumatic and electrical interfaces, the Type 8640valve manifold is designed to solve a wide range of complex control problems. Two to 24 valve functionalities can be realised as a result of combining a row of pneumatic modules and valves. Bodies and connection modules are constructed of high-quality polyamide plastic and are quick and easy to assemble thanks to the built-in snap connectors.
Features and benefits
- Compact design.
- Modular configuration.
- Higher flexibility in control cabinet due to AirLINE Quick.
- Simple exchange of valves (with option “P-shut-off” – also possible during operation).
Bürkert Valve Islands – Type 8644
The Type 8644 AirLINE System is a solenoid valve manifold that integrates high performance solenoid pilot valves, remote electronic I/O and fieldbus communication into one compact, and extremely flexible, process actuation and control system. Its modular design allows fully customised, pre-mounted and tested solutions to be developed, including the integration of a local MiniPLC. Plus, thanks to the full electronic and mechanical integration, the valve block can be added without any tools or wiring.
Features and benefits
- Innovative fieldbus interface.
- Combination of Fieldbus, pilot valves and I/O modules.
- High flexibility.
- Compact design.
- High flow rate.
Bürkert Valve Islands – Type 8647
The pneumatic control valve manifold, Type 8647 AirLINE SP, is a modular, electropneumatic automation system consisting of connection modules and valve modules. It is perfectly designed for safe integration into Siemens’ SIMATIC ET 200SP decentralised peripheral system. The Type 8647 is used to integrate pneumatic pilot valves directly into the SIMATIC ET 200SP and to control them via the ET 200SP.
Features and benefits
- Direct connection to the I/O-System SIMATIC ET 200SP.
- Combination of fieldbus, pilot valves and I/O modules.
- Easy diagnosis by LC-Display.
- Safety-related shut-off of valves possible.
Advantages of Bürkert Valve Islands
According to Ian Webster, Field Segment Manager Hygienic Processing at Bürkert, “The Type 8647 has the specific advantage of being designed to connect with Siemens’ new ET200SP system. In addition, the 8640/44/47 can also have safety shut off features. Further, all these items are now available in standard IP65/EHEDG stainless steel cabinets with a full price list for quick and easy selection.”
