My favourite Bürkert product: Thomas Steele
This week our account manager for the Midlands Thomas Steele, talks about Bürkert's Tank Blanketing System and explains why it is his favourite product.
My favourite product is the Burkert Tank Blanketing System. It serves as a simple solution to an often-overcomplicated problem. Whether an end-user wishes to control a tanks’ atmosphere for a critical biotech application, to protect food products from spoiling or simply avoid tank collapse the systems’ principals remain the same.
Building itself upon two compact, lightweight and CIP/SIP-capable valves, the tank blanketing system can run independently or can be operated from the end users control system. The system is able to control at virtually any pressure, low-fill and filling control application in hygienic environments.
Set the required tank pressure in the main control valve and the Burkert tank blanketing system will maintain the pressure through the entire process of fermentation/reaction, store, empty and fill.
There are varying degrees of hygienic finish with a pipe design for F&B applications, a hygienic block design for pharma applications and a built-in tank top design for ultra-high purity applications.
The Tank Blanketing System is a great example of the sophistication in simplicity, demonstrating how something can truly be greater than the sum of its parts.
