Bürkert Disc Valves
Bürkert offers several motor-driven disc valves in our Process and Control Valves range. Our disc check valves feature energy efficient integrated electronics, resulting in low power consumption and simplified process integration, and deliver extremely fast response times as standard.
Our selection of disc valves here at Bürkert consists of the Type 3275 2/2 way motor valve, in the shut-off range, and the Type 3285 2/2 way proportional valve (also motor-driven), which is in our control valve range. We have detailed their characteristics and benefits below.
2/2 Way Disc Valve (Motor Valve) – Type 3275
The Type 3275 is a direct-acting and general purpose motor valve for shut-off, used as a regulating unit in control loops. A stepper motor actuator drives the disc valve, which is incorporated in a compact and robust housing. The integrated electronics simplify the process integration, negating the need for additional actuation modules. The drive shaft shifts a very smooth ceramic disc over a second fixed ceramic disc, which is simultaneously the valve seat, and by turning the ceramic disc the valve opens. The seat tightness is achieved by the very smooth surface of the stacked ceramic discs.
In case of power failure, the actual valve position will be kept. Therefore, this disc check valve is not suitable as a safety shut-off valve. If a specific safety position in case of power failure is required, this can be realised by using an external buffer module. Opening and closing the valve requires little to no motor power consumption power consumption. This key feature can dramatically reduce the energy consumption of a plant and thus make it more efficient.
- Actuator isolated from flow path.
- Low power consumption.
- Fast response times.
- Orifice sizes 8 to 25 mm.
2/2 Way Disc Valve (Proportional) – Type 3285
The Type 3285 direct-acting proportional valve is used for the dosing of liquids and gases in closed or open control loops. This disc type check valve features a stepper motor as the actuator and, like the 3275, its integrated electronics simplify process integration. Again, minimal power consumption is required for opening and closing, providing a highly efficient and green solution. The Type 3285 is available as a standard ON/OFF or proportional valve, as a version with integrated positioner, and as a version with integrated process controller.
- Actuator isolated from flow path.
- Excellent range and fast response times.
- Low power consumption.
- Orifice sizes 8 to 25 mm.
- Versions: Standard, positioner, process controller.
