A look back at the highlights of 2021
As we move into 2022, there is more than a hint of déjà vu as we eagerly anticipate a better year (this time, surely…!). However, despite the false dawn of a year that promised so much but never fully delivered, there were plenty of highlights for Bürkert to celebrate. So join us now as we recap some of the high points of another busy year.
Never ones to rest on our laurels, Bürkert UK forged ahead this year with new technology, new colleagues and new services. Even a return to face-to-face meetings felt ‘new’ after restrictions were lifted. Here are six of our highlight moments over the course of another exceptional year for everyone.
New demo rig
Our new demonstration rig showcases some of the best of Bürkert's technology. Featuring our FLOWave flowmeter, Type 8652 valve island and Element valves, get in contact if you would like us to bring the rig to you for a full live demo or visit us here in Cirencester.
Virtual Application Centre
We launched our safe, convenient and always-open Virtual Application Centre. This immersive virtual environment features Application Rooms showcasing Bürkert products and real-world case studies, as well as photo-realistic 1:1 3D models, videos, technical documents, a conference room, and an auditorium.
Mental Health Awareness Week
To show our support during Mental Health Awareness Week, the Bürkert UK team grabbed their phones and took some #MyWholeSelf selfies to highlight how we are accepting of everyone in our organisation. As you can see from our selfies, we’re an eclectic, passionate and truly inclusive bunch of people!
Sales meetings in person again!
As effective as our video calling technology has been to bridge the physical distance between ourselves and our customers and partners during lockdowns, nothing beats a face-to-face chat. So it was a genuine cause for celebration when we were finally able to meet with customers and suppliers again in person.
New Bürkert technology
This year we launched the Bürkert resistApp, which makes chemical resistance testing and material selection simpler. We also increased the pressure and temperature range of our seat valves, launched the Type 8756 MFM/MFC with Coriolis sensor for liquids, and made it easier than ever to configure your own valve island.
Revamped customer portal and eShop
We gave our customer portal and eShop a makeover this year. Visitors can now enjoy a fresh new look (including the latest mobile design), more intuitive navigation, and a faster experience. Plus, we expanded our My Services section, so you can now price up and book an on-site service in just a few clicks.
Welcoming new talent to the team
In 2021, we welcomed several new faces to the Bürkert UK team. New Account Manager, Chris Hughes, is supporting distributors, end users and OEMs for liquid and gas measurement and control systems in Scotland. Meanwhile, new Quality Manager, David Booth, has set about championing quality across the business.
