Bürkert Stainless Steel Diaphragm Valves

Bürkert leads the way in the development of stainless steel diaphragm valves that are specifically designed with hygienic applications and cleanability in mind. Here, we introduce a selection of stainless steel diaphragm valve types available from Bürkert.

Robolux Multi-Port Diaphragm Valve – Type 2036

Pneumatically operated 2/2-way diaphragm valve ELEMENT for decentralized automation – Type 2103

The Type 2036 multi-way, multi-port diaphragm operated control valve was developed with ultra-pure installations in mind. It can be integrated into complex systems within a considerably more compact footprint and is perfect for a system approach. Robolux block valves allow existing process sequences to be converted to Robolux and redesigned. The consequent simplification of the piping system and its components results in space savings and lower installation and maintenance costs.

Designed for the control of ultra-pure, sterile, aseptic and steam/CIP fluid paths, Robolux enables optimal sampling, draining or diverting of critical process fluids. Our patented Robolux technology places two seats under one diaphragm, eliminating dead legs and minimising flow system volume. The Robolux valve body is machined from a single piece of bar stock stainless steel and high quality diaphragms are available in several different USP class VI approved materials.

Features and benefits

  • Allows optimised process designs.
  • Reduced installation costs.
  • Reduced number of valves and welds.
  • Stainless steel bodies in different configurations.
  • FDA, CE, USP VI, ATEX, 3.1 approvals.

Pneumatically operated 2/2 way diaphragm valve with stainless steel actuator – Type 2063

Pneumatically operated 2/2 way diaphragm valve with stainless steel actuator – Type 2063

The pneumatically operated Type 2063 diaphragm valve, with stainless steel actuators, fulfils the demands of tough process environments. Forged or casted stainless steel bodies promise excellent cleanability and surface qualities for pharma, biopharma, cosmetic or food and beverage applications. The stainless steel actuator is built to withstand tough process environments, with a smooth, laser welded design that is both cleanable and robust.

With a ducted exhaust air port, the actuator can be isolated from the environment, which is a critical benefit from a hygienic point of view. The trusted diaphragm materials are optimised for a long lifecycle and comply to USP Class IV, FDA and EC-Regulation 1935/2004.

Features and benefits

  • Flow optimised and deadleg free stainless steel cast or forged bodies.
  • Media separation with different diaphragm materials.
  • Trusted inner parts for long cycle life.
  • Actuator in stainless steel for demanding environments.

Large accessory program with stroke limitation and feedback.

Pneumatically operated 2/2-way diaphragm valve ELEMENT for decentralized automation – Type 2103

Pneumatically operated 2/2-way diaphragm valve ELEMENT for decentralized automation – Type 2103

The externally piloted Type 2103 diaphragm operated control valve consists of a pneumatically operated piston actuator, a diaphragm and a 2-way valve housing made of cast stainless steel. The high-performance actuator, with stainless steel cover, is designed for use in hygienic or aggressive environments. While the flow optimised and zero dead volume valve body makes high flow rates possible for a variety of applications.

The Type 2103’s design enables the easy integration of automation modules, whether they are electrical/optical position feedback, pneumatic control units, an integrated fieldbus interface or even an explosion proof device versions. The fully integrated system features a compact and smooth design, as well as a host of other superior characteristics, including integrated pneumatic lines, IP65/67 protection, NEMA Type 4X protection class and superior chemical resistance.

Features and benefits

  • Hermetical separation of fluids from the operating mechanism by diaphragm.
  • Quality certifications FDA.
