Creating added value: More innovation, more service, more added value

Ingelfingen, 21st April 2008 - At this year's Hannover Messe Bürkert Fluid Control Systems is again aiming to create active added value for the customer through innovation and service with innovative technical solutions and services.

In times of increased competition, shortened innovation cycles and globalization, it is increasingly important to have a competent partner. And this is precisely where Bürkert, market leader in fluid technology, comes into its own. Its goal is to provide the customer with active added value through an extended range of products and services. This ranges from an expansion of the product range (liquid flow controllers - LFC) through consistent development using the latest technologies (10mm bistable valve) up to fundamental innovations that provide an extremely high power density in the smallest space (valve with 4.5mm width per valve). This is further supplemented by an enhanced after sales service.

Promoting added value - products alone can only provide limited answers to the questions of the future in fluid technology. Bürkert is increasingly focusing on customer-specific solutions based on a broad product program that provides the customer with everything "from a single source". At the system houses in Ingelfingen, Dortmund, Dresden, Charlotte (USA) and Suzhou (China), experts from a range of fields work in close collaboration to develop customer-specific systems from the company's component kit. The fluid-technology experts with their bundled competence in finding solutions and strong customer orientation create tailor-made solutions for customers around the world. An essential prerequisite for this is the proximity to the customer and an understanding of their wishes, needs and requirements. Alongside the long-standing experience of Bürkert's employees and their boldness in seeking solutions, this is what ultimately generates success for both sides.

To secure its market position and respond to increasing demand, Bürkert is investing strongly in its own vertical integration and is intensifying its activities in research and development to provide the customers with technical progress. The logic behind this customer-focused activity is matched by a consistent expansion of overseas activities enabling direct and efficient solutions to be provided locally.

Through this expansion of the Group's activity, the positive growth course of the previous years was continued in the financial year 2007. A branch in Argentina was established to open up a new market there. The company also entered into a partnership with the Swiss company BBS-Systems, representing outstanding expertise in the field of hygienic processing and producing synergies for the Bürkert Group in this sector.
